Investor due diligence

Problems with Launchpads for Projects

Basic whitelisting process

  • Most launchpads offer a simple whitelisting process for IDO allocation that requires minimal vetting from retail investors. While this speeds up the process, it provides very little insight into which investors are participating and why they’re interested in the project.

  • Projects are left in the dark about the motivations, experience, and potential long-term commitment of their token holders, leading to a situation where participants are primarily looking for short-term gains instead of supporting the project's roadmap.

Little investor insight

  • Projects often lack visibility into the quality or intent of their investors:

    • Are they long-term holders?

    • Do they have a history of supporting similar projects?

    • What level of engagement can the project expect from them post-IDO?

  • Without detailed data or sentiment analysis on their investor base, projects are essentially flying blind, unable to build strong relationships with their most valuable supporters. This lack of insight often results in poor targeting for future marketing efforts and difficulty creating an active, supportive community.
