Investor exposure
Problems with Launchpads for Projects
Allocation favours high-stake investors
Most traditional launchpads prioritise investors who can stake large amounts of tokens, meaning that only a small group of wealthier investors typically gain access to project allocations.
While this may seem beneficial at first, it severely limits exposure to a wider audience. Projects end up relying on a concentrated pool of investors, which can hinder broader adoption and limit the diversity of their community.
Low support for hype drivers
Smaller, enthusiastic retail investors are often the ones driving organic hype and engagement on social media and in communities. However, because allocation systems focus on wealthier investors, projects miss out on building relationships with these "hype drivers," who could provide long-term community value.
Without adequately rewarding these retail investors for their contributions, projects can struggle to maintain consistent community momentum after the IDO. This can leave a project with a lot of short-term attention but very little sustained interest.
